Shiloh Music Academy Course Offerings

Violin

SMA offers private and class violin instruction through out the academic school year. Our instructors are qualified and flexible, allowing students to reduce costs by sharing lesson times or taking them every other week. Lessons are given on Monday afternoon and evenings and cost $20 per 1/2 hour lesson. Some students have opted to take advantage of the teachers’ flexibility by sharing lessons, therefore reducing the costs in half.

In addition to the private instruction, SMA offers and encourages students to join violin ensembles which meet once a week. These ensembles provide students an opportunity to make music with others in their peer group as well as learn ensemble skills. The ensembles play music that ranges from fiddle tunes to easy classics. Ensembles meet on Monday evenings and if the student is enrolled in private lessons, the cost is $36 for a twelve-week term.

Guitar

SMA also offers guitar classes. Usually a beginning and continuing class is offered each term. We try to limit class size to approximately 10 students. Classes begin with a study of basic chords and progress to bar chords and right hand techniques.
